After-school gardening club launches

Grow at St Paul's

Our community garden project has launched a new after-school club.

Grow at St Paul's, within the grounds of the church, is a space for the local community to sow, nurture and harvest fruit and vegetables.

The club which started on Friday 5th April at 3:45pm, is a great opportunity for families to find out about growing food together as well as learn a range of gardening skills including seed sowing, composting and recycling and looking for wildlife.

The Friday afternoon sessions, during term time, are free to attend and children must be accompanied by their responsible adult.

The initiative is being coordinated by Inside Outside Community Development CIC in partnership with St Paul's church in Spennymoor.

Registration is not required and people can turn up on the day to take part in the gardening related activities.
